Overview of Field-Based Analytical Techniques, Devices and Kits to Determine Petroleum Hydrocarbons in Soil

SYNOPSIS

The paper describes how Concawe University in the UK tested many of the commercially available TPH test kits in 2021. They found that RemScan provides:

• Decision-making results with a fast turnaround time and low cost per sample (Table 1 page V).
• Industry-leading sensitivity range of 0.1 to 100,000 mg/kg with excellent linearity and accuracy (Table 4, page 12).
• Portable, both field- and lab-deployable, and no consumables required for operation.
